Matthew Sallee serves as Executive Vice President, Head of Investments at Tortoise Capital. In this role, he oversees the firm’s energy investment team and energy products, and is a Senior Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Committee.

Matt serves as president of the Tortoise Energy Infrastructure Corp. closed-end fund. With more than 24 years of industry experience, Matt is a frequent contributor to national media outlets including CNBC.

Before joining Tortoise Capital, he served for five years as a senior financial analyst with Aquila, Inc., where he focused on capital allocation analysis for the company’s communications infrastructure subsidiary, Everest Connections. Matt serves on the National Board of Directors for the Gabby Krause Foundation, an organization dedicated to bringing joy and relief to children fighting life-threatening disease. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri with a degree in business administration and is a CFA^® charterholder.
